Studio 1:1 - Design-Build with the community

Dan Price will talk about the work of Studio 1:1, Israel's first and largest Design-Build program. Established in 2018 by Dan and Michal Bleicher, the studio nurtures the idea of architectural design that reinforces the architect's social and environmental responsibility. Collectively, the students design and build a small building (approximately 100 m2) for a real client on a real site within a fixed budget. Together with local volunteers, the students build the building on site during the two-week Construction Workshop. Dan will discuss the process and show some of the projects built over the past few years.
