Costs

These amount to 655 € per month or 3,900 € per semester and are increased each year in line with inflation. The increase is implemented at the start of the winter semester based on the consumer price index for the previous year, January to December, and capped at a maximum of 5% with the increase being rounded up to the nearest 10 €.

 

Please also note, in addition to your tuition fees it is a compulsory requirement that all students pay their student union membership fee (“OH” Fees). This fee is currently 21.20 € per semester (status: September 2022)

Financial support options

There are a number of options available to help you finance your studies at the New Design University. However, please note that most public grants require a prior three-year residence in Austria before applying. Further options are international and private scholarships and grants as well as student loans.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

In this course, all exams can be taken in English, all written papers can be submitted in English as well. However, a good command of German is required, since you must be able to follow the discussions in class. We therefore strongly encourage candidates to enrol in an intensive German course prior to commencing their studies at the NDU.

Therefore, please note that proof of at least a B2 level in German is required for admission!

Admission requirements

Applicants for the master’s degree course must hold at least a bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, the applicants should have personal motivation for the topics of entrepreneurship, strategy and innovation, and previous experience.

Proof of aptitude will be assessed in the form of an entrance examination, consisting of a written entrance examination and an admission interview with the course director. During the entrance examination, your command of the English language will also be tested. If you can demonstrate this by means of suitable tests (GMAT, TOEFL, etc.), please enclose the appropriate certificates with your written application (“Certificates”).

Please note that proof of at least a B2 level in German is required for admission to all courses at the NDU!
