Degree: Bachelor of Engineering (BEng)

Course load: 140 hours per semester, 180 ECTS points

tuition fee

These amount to 530 € per month or 3,150 € per semester and are increased each year in line with inflation. The increase is implemented at the start of the winter semester based on the consumer price index for the previous year, January to December, and capped at a maximum of 5% with the increase being rounded up to the nearest 10 €.

 

Please also note, in addition to your tuition fees it is a compulsory requirement that all students pay their student union membership fee (“OH” Fees). This fee is currently 21.20 € per semester (status: September 2022)

 

FINANCIAL SUPPORT OPTIONS

There are a number of options available to help you finance your studies at the New Design University. However, please note that most public grants require a prior three-year residence in Austria before applying. Further options are international and private scholarships and grants as well as student loans.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the bachelor’s degree course in Event Engineering require either proof of a higher education entrance qualification in the form of an AHS or BHS-Matura (A-levels) or an apprenticeship with vocational qualification (e.g. event technician).
With the appropriate previous training (HTL, etc.), applicants may be credited for certain modules or enter the second or third semester directly.

Another entrance requirement is that applicants pass an entrance examination. Applicants should bring a letter of motivation to the exam. There are usually three entrance examination dates to choose from (see Course registration).

 

Entrance exams for the year 2024/25 will be held on:

Entrance Exam #1: Sat, 27 Jan 2024
(Registration deadline: 20 Jan 2024)

Entrance exam #2: Sat, 06 June 2024
(Registration deadline: 01 June 2024)

Entrance Exam #3: Sat, 24 Aug 2024
(Registration deadline: 17 Aug 2024)
